Senior Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in India.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong technical background to lead complex cloud implementation, migration, and operational projects for enterprise healthcare clients. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. You will act as the key link between engineering teams, technical support, security specialists, and client stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into clear, actionable updates. You will also drive process improvements, manage escalations, and ensure that projects adhere to strict healthcare security and compliance requirements. This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic project leadership in a remote, collaborative environment. The role follows a Monday-to-Friday evening shift, with working hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of cloud implementations, migrations, and operational projects for enterprise healthcare clients, ensuring successful outcomes within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, schedules, resource forecasts, and time-tracking processes.
• Provide regular project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to executive stakeholders and clients.
• Establish, implement, and maintain standardized procedures for Professional Services engagements in collaboration with internal teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, technical support, and security teams, promoting accountability and efficient execution without micromanaging technical work.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams and clients, translating technical issues, delivery milestones, and project dependencies into clear and actionable communications.
• Proactively identify project risks, technical bottlenecks, and operational challenges, implementing mitigation strategies and managing escalations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable project workflows that provide transparency, improve collaboration, and ensure clear visibility for internal teams and clients.
• Oversee technical handoffs and project activities to ensure compliance with applicable healthcare security, regulatory, and operational standards.
• Manage large project portfolios, monitor delivery performance, and drive continuous improvements in project management processes and service delivery.

Requirements:

• 7–10+ years of dedicated project management experience, with a proven ability to lead complex projects and support technical teams delivering enterprise-level services.
• A mandatory hands-on technical background in IT operations, systems administration, cloud infrastructure, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical architectures, engage confidently in engineering discussions, and translate technical requirements into practical project plans.
• Mandatory experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, particularly Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management, for project tracking, workflow configuration, collaboration, and documentation.
• Proven experience managing large project portfolios and delivering enterprise projects in highly regulated environments, ideally within healthcare technology or managed services.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and implementation or migration projects across environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is highly relevant.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, executives, and enterprise clients.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, particularly when managing complex technical challenges and competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and take ownership of outcomes.
• Willingness to work remotely from India on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.
