We’re looking for our next Product Management - Product Manager, Residential Lending. Could It Be You?

The Product Manager, Residential Lending is the execution engine behind our mortgage platform, responsible for transforming high-level business strategies into tangible software solutions. Serving as the primary Product Owner within an Agile squad, you will take ownership of the product backlog and spearhead the delivery of strategic features that optimize the loan origination lifecycle. You will work side-by-side with Engineering, Design, and Loan Operations to deconstruct complex business requirements into detailed user stories, ensuring every release meets strict "Definition of Done" criteria and is operationally ready for underwriting teams.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Agile Execution & Delivery:

  • Lead a cross-functional agile squad, facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, and product increment ceremonies.

  • Own the backlog and ensure the team meets the "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done."

  • Manage dependencies across multiple teams and projects to ensure smooth releases.

Requirements & Readiness:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, and design to define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.

  • Own the operational readiness for features, ensuring they are operationally supportable by funding and underwriting teams.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product demos to ensure high-quality releases.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Engage in technical discussions with development teams regarding APIs and core banking logic.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development process, identifying bottlenecks in delivery and proposing solutions

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within banking or fintech.

  • Proven experience acting as a Product Owner within an Agile framework.

  • Strong attention to detail in documenting requirements and managing complex workflows.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of SDLC and experience working with lending platforms or core banking systems.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Highly analytical with strong capabilities to solve complex workflow challenges.

  • Agile Methodology: Proficient in Scrum/Kanban and tools like Jira/Confluence.

  • Great Communication: Ability to articulate complex requirements clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

 

Compensation Information:

  • Base salary range: $120,000 - $150,000

  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
